Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
TheKingOfTickets.com (the “Site”) is operated by King Of Tickets LLC (“we” or “us”), and we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the rights you have. It covers information collected when you use the Site and our services. It does not apply to companies we do not control or to third-party advertisers. By providing personal information to the Site, you consent to its collection, use, disclosure, and retention as described here and in our Terms & Conditions. We update this policy from time to time; material changes will be posted on the Site and/or sent to the email address you provided, and your continued use of the Site indicates your agreement.
2. What information we collect
Information you provide. You can browse without sharing personal information, but purchasing tickets or creating an account requires it. This may include your name, address, email, phone number, payment-card details, and purchase information. We do not process or store your full card number, expiration date, or security code — payment is handled by a third-party processor — though we retain non-sensitive details such as card type, purchase date, and amount. By providing a phone number, you agree we may contact you at that number, potentially using automated technology or SMS; consent is not a condition of purchase.
Information about your visit. We may collect details of your visits and the resources you access, including traffic and location data, web logs, your IP address, and the timing and content of what you view, using cookies and similar technologies (see below).
3. How we use and share your information
Providing services. We, the Ticket Sellers, and our service providers use your information to process transactions and provide services — account access, ticket purchases, delivery, and customer support. In some cases a Ticket Seller may see limited information about you (for example, a return address for shipping), and you may see information about the seller.
Communications and marketing. We may contact you about your inquiries and orders, and — unless you opt out — about ticket specials, new features, or policy changes. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not give it to third parties for their own separate marketing. We do use analytics and advertising cookies (see Section 5); to the extent that is treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under state privacy laws, you can opt out — see Section 10. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in each message.
Order fulfillment and service providers. We share information as needed to fulfill and deliver your order and to support payment processing, customer service, auditing, and similar functions. We require these third parties to keep your information confidential under written agreement and to use it only to perform their services.
Legal, fraud, and corporate matters. We may disclose information to comply with law or valid legal process, to detect and prevent fraud (including declining suspicious transactions and reporting unlawful activity), and in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. We may also anonymize or aggregate data, which we may then use for any lawful purpose.
4. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, within the bounds of applicable law — for example, while you maintain an account, or as required by a legal obligation.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit the Site. We use them to operate the Site, analyze performance, remember your preferences, and provide personalized, interest-based advertising. We use strictly necessary cookies (required for logging in and checkout), analytical/performance cookies, functionality cookies, and targeting/advertising cookies.
We use Google Tag Manager to manage tags on the Site, and we work with third-party providers (which may include Google — via Google Analytics and Google’s advertising products — Microsoft, Amazon, and other analytics or advertising partners) that may collect information such as pages visited, access times, device identifiers, and IP address to measure our Site and to target advertising across sites and devices. Your data may be transferred outside the region where it was collected. We recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of sharing for targeted advertising; the Site does not otherwise respond to legacy “Do Not Track” signals. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising via aboutads.info/choices, the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org, and Google’s ad settings at adssettings.google.com, and you can manage cookies in your browser settings. See Your Privacy Choices and Section 10 to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing.” Some cookies are necessary and cannot be declined; disabling cookies may limit Site functionality. Opt-outs are specific to each browser and device.
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically, and you send it at your own risk.
7. Age requirement
The Site is intended only for people who have reached the age of majority (18). By using it, you affirm you are at least 18. No one under 13 may use the Site or share information with us, and parents or guardians may not agree to these terms on a child’s behalf.
8. Opting out of marketing
You may opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such email. Where we send marketing SMS/text messages with your prior consent, you may stop them by replying STOP.
9. Your privacy rights (U.S. state laws)
Residents of certain states — under laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, and similar laws — may have rights to: know what personal information we collect and share; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising; access, correct, or delete personal information; limit the use of sensitive personal information; obtain a portable copy of your data; appeal a decision on a request; and receive equal service and pricing when exercising these rights.
To make a request, call 844-425-1065, email support@thekingoftickets.com with “Consumer Privacy Rights” in the body, or mail a written request — including the nature of your request and your name and address — to King Of Tickets LLC, 400 Renaissance Center, Suite 2600, Detroit, MI 48243. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days, extendable once). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. California residents may also request information about how their data is shared for direct marketing under the “Shine the Light” law by contacting us below.
10. Your privacy choices — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not give it to third parties for their own separate marketing. However, we use analytics and advertising cookies (including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google’s advertising products). To the extent this is considered a “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA, you may opt out at any time. We recognize a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request. You can also opt out through the Digital Advertising Alliance (aboutads.info/choices), the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), Google’s ad settings (adssettings.google.com), or your browser’s cookie settings — or by emailing support@thekingoftickets.com with “Do Not Sell or Share” in the subject line. For a step-by-step, see Your Privacy Choices. We will not discriminate against you for exercising this choice.
11. Categories and sources of personal information
We collect personal information you provide directly (such as identifiers, contact details, and purchase information) and information collected automatically through your use of the Site (such as device and usage data). Sources include you, your device and browser, and our service and advertising partners.
12. Questions or complaints
If you have questions or concerns about your data or this Privacy Policy after reading it, contact us at support@thekingoftickets.com, 844-425-1065, or King Of Tickets LLC, 400 Renaissance Center, Suite 2600, Detroit, MI 48243, and we will be glad to help.
